Local carmaker Automobile Dacia is negotiating with the company managing the IRIDE (Italian / Romanian Industrial Development Enterprise) park in Bucharest to rent 8,000-10,000 square meters. It is expected they are planning to move its headquarters there, sources in the real estate field were quoted as saying. Dacia's headquarters are currently based in Pitesti, with only the Commercial Department functioning in Bucharest, in the Floreasca area. The French group Renault took over Dacia in 1999 and expects the local company to report some 400 million euros in turnover this year, compared to 360 million euros in 2003. Automobile Dacia will produce 94,000-95,000 cars this year, up from 70,000 last year.
