New chairman for HOLCIM

The Romanian affiliate office of Holcim Company has a new chairman now. The former president and the head administrator of the office, Kurt Habersatter, resigned from the position after being appointed for the position of the director general for Holcim representative office in Eastern Europe. Last year Mr. Habersatter was called the most reprected Romanian business person in the field of real estate and building construction. Now he will be responsible for Holcim’s business affairs in 9 countries, including Romania.

Markus Akermann, the former chairman of Holcim’s associate offices in Serbia and Kosovo, will occupy the vacant position of Romanian office head.

Holcim Company is the world’s leading producer of cement, ready-mixed concrete, supplier of construction machinery and services. The company operates in about 70 countries with over 48’000 people employed.
