In Western Europe there is no more demand for industrial constructions so because of this trend investors will point their attention towards the countries in Southeast Europe, predicted D-r Margarette Cherny , Austrian Institute for Industrial construction, during the Sixth Southeast Economic Forum, which is taking place in Sofia.
According to her report, one office-building in Sofia or Bucharest is bringing up to 14% profit, while in the case of one office-building in Vienna the profit is only 5%. The reason for this difference is the promising growth of foreign direct investments in the region of Southeast Europe. The prognosis is that those countries will reach until 2007 up to 9% growth in FDI.
Repair business is responsible for one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing segments of the construction sector and represents one of the most-promising markets in Central and Eastern Europe, thinks Anna Gaspar, Representative of the Hungarian company „Build & Econ”.
She released results from a report made by her organization, according to which in former socialist countries it will take a lot of repairing in order to save most of the buildings and renovate them to answer contemporary standards of living. The attractiveness of this sector should result in competitive prices and better consumer products, said Ms. Gaspar.
