The Economic Freedom Index

I must certainly give the credit Gabriel for the news, but I would like to post it here too.

The results from the Index of Economic Freedom were recently released and you can see Romania's progress on the scale.

In short, we are ranked #125, with the general apreciation of "Mostly Unfree".

Still, we are better than the '01 - '04 period. Still much worse than '00.

The final score is composed of scoring for the following categories: Trade Policy, Fiscal Burden, Government Intervention, Monetary Policy, Foreign Investment, Banking and Finance, Wages and Prices, Property Rights, Regulation and Informal Market.
