Deutsche Bank filed Thursday a letter of interest for the takeover of 61.8825% of the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR) stock.
At the same time, Belgian bank KBC and Belgian-Dutch group Fortis announced their letters of interest for the privatization of BCR, one day after the withdrawal of the Italian bank Unicredit and Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BC-CA).
The deadline for filling offers was Thursday 5 pm.
The companies that filed letters of interest were Fortis, Banco Comercial Portugues, National Bank of Greece, Intesa, Deutsche Bank AG, Erste Bank AG, Dexia, KBC, BNP Paribas, ABN AMRO, Texas Pacific Group and Citigrup Venture Capital International.
