Search Engine Marketing to increase above Online Banners Promotion

Jupiter Research recently announced that they expect that, by 2010, Search Engine Marketing will become the most important online advertising media. The report shows that SEM will overcome Online Banners Promotion, which is currently the most used online advertising service.

Search Engine Marketing is growing at about 12% each year, while online banners promotions are growing with 7%.

This shows that companies are becoming more aware of the benefits of Search Engine Marketing, which consist of attracting visitors based on the relevant searches they conduct over the web.

Overall, Internet based promotion should reach USD 18.9 bilion by 2010.
