Fiscal Code application rules approved by the government at the end of 2004 will be established by January 31, said Finance Minister Ionut Popescu.

The main changes in the Fiscal Code are the reduction to 16% of individuals' revenue tax from 28-40% and the profit tax from 25%.

Popescu added that the Ministry of Finance will collaborate with other ministries to change several laws regarding bankruptcy and fiscal evasion.
