Google recently published the results of the
Code Jam 2005 competition. The Code Jam tournament is a timed contest where all participants compete online to solve the same problems under the same time constraints. The competition is available in four programming languages - Java, C++, C#, and VB.
Looking at the winners list, it turns out some of the winners are from Romania...at least looking at their names. Too bad Google did not disclose the nationality of each of the winners.
So, here are the Romanian-looking names:
Matei - 15th place
cvoinescu - 57th place
Dan[Popovici]Of course, there might be many other Romanians out there, with international nicknames.
Congratulations to all the contestants and specially to the winner, Marek Cygan, a student at Warsaw University, who won the USD 10.000 prize.
On Topcoder, a sponsor of this contest,
Romania is ranked on 10th place.
