Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu says infrastructure, education, healthcare and agriculture are the priorities of the government's modernisation efforts.
Tariceanu was addressing participants of the Summer School of the National Liberal Youth in the southeast town of Mamaia Saturday (27 August)
In other news, the European Commission's Ambassador to Bucharest, Jonathan Scheele, reiterated on Friday that nothing could stop Romania from acceding to the EU in 2007, if the country fulfils its commitments.
He confirmed that the Commission is collecting data related to the country's progress report, due for release this autumn.
