Google inc is increasing the personal account limits on Gmail, their free e-mail serice, to 2 GB - and talk of adding more storage space over the coming months.
Only invited users can join Gmail but Google are expected to roll out the full service this month following the 1st year of service in beta mode.
The Google Gmail site says,
"Our plan is to continue growing your storage beyond 2GBs by giving you more space as we are able. We know that email will only become more important in people's lives, and we want Gmail to keep up with our users and their needs. From Gmail, you can expect more."
"Our goal is to make sure storage is no longer an issue for Web mail users," said Marissa Mayer, Google's director of consumer Web products.
