World's second largest motherboard maker, the Taiwanese Gigabyte, voiced plans to enter the Romanian market in the first decade next month by opening a local branch. "Opening a new branch is part of the Gigabyte strategy in the countries from this part of Europe, after they opened branches in Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Serbia and Montenegro," according to sources in the industry. Gigabyte is on top in terms of PC boards sales in Romania. "Following this move, they are trying to consolidate position and take advantage of the growth opportunities in the market".
