Romania might adopt the EUR currency by 2014, after a period of at least two years needed to meet the requirements enforced by the transition process to the single currency, the governor of the central bank (BNR) Mugur Isarescu said.
Romania's durable development strategy, made public by BNR's governor, indicates from the point of view of the monetary policy, the fact that the transition process to the EUR currency is stipulated for 2011-2014.
Romania's accession to Eurozone is foreseen to take place during 2012-2015
